Dithiophosphate  25S

Description

Dithiophosphate 25 is a dark brown, corrosive liquid with a pungent odour. It is inflammable and slightly soluble in water, it has a density of; 1170-1200kg/m3.

Application

Dithiophosphate 25 combines both collecting and frothing properties. It is an effective collector in floatation of lead, copper, silver and activated zinc sulfide minerals. Dithiophosphate 25 is often used in the selective separation of lead minerals from zinc minerals.

In alkaline circuits it does not readily float pyrite and other iron sulfide minerals, but in a neutral or acid medium it is a strong collector for all sulfide minerals.

Because it is only slightly soluble in water, dithiophosphate 25 must be fed into a mixing vessel before use, it can also be fed directly into the ball mill.
