Description

1.4-Bis(2-hydroxyethoxy)-2-butyne is an organic compound with the molecular formula C₁₀H₁₄O₄. It is a symmetrical diol with two Hydroxyethoxy groups attached to a butyne backbone. This compound is known for its versatility in various chemical reactions and applications, particularly in polymer chemistry and material science.

Application

1. Butynediol ethoxy compound (BEO for short) is a condensate of butynediol and ethylene oxide. It is one of the commonly used long-acting Nickel plating intermediates to refine the coating grains;

2. It is usually used in conjunction with auxiliary brighteners such as saccharin, PME, PPS, PVSS, COSS, PESS or MOSS.

3. Long-acting brightener for nickel plating, weak leveling agent.

4. butynediol ethoxylate can refine the crystallization of the coating. It is produced by high-pressure method and decolorized by physical method to reduce the damage of effective ingredients by chemical decolorization. It has the characteristics of light color, consumption resistance and strong leveling.
