Sodium sulfite

Sulfites are generally used as inhibitors, including sodium sulfite, sulfur dioxide, sulfite, and so on.

Although sodium sulfite and sulfur dioxide have weaker inhibition capacity than sodium cyanide, their toxicity is very small, and they are easy to be oxidized by air and easy to be treated by wastewater. For ores containing precious metals such as gold and silver, the burning bundle is not properly shortened and sodium sulfite or sulfite acid is used as an inhibitor, the precious metals will not be lost. Tene is a mineral that has been inhibited by sodium sulfite or sulfite and is easily activated by copper sulfite.

Sodium sulfite and sulfite are effective inhibitors of sphalerite and pyrite, but do not inhibit chalcopyrite, but can activate chalcopyrite. It is generally used under weakly acidic conditions. Sodium thiosulfate and sodium metabisulfite can replace sodium sulfite or sulfite to inhibit sphalerite and pyrite.

Sulfites are easy to oxidize and fail in the pulp, and in order to make the process stable, the solution needs to be configured on the day of use, and the method of adding in stages is usually adopted.
