Description

Magnesium oxide, also known as magnesia, is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula MgO. It is a white, hygroscopic solid mineral that occurs naturally as periclase and is a source of magnesium. This compound is widely used in various industries due to its high melting point, thermal stability, and chemical reactivity.

Application

Feed grade Magnesium Oxide can not only compensate for the lack of magnesium in the diet to avoid the onset of magnesium deficiency disease, but also is an excellent rumen buffer to regulate rumen fermentation, and can add mammary gland to the absorption of milk precursors, improve milk yield and milk fat rate. Adding magnesium oxide to the diet of dairy cows can prevent heat stress. Magnesium ions can work together with sodium ions and potassium ions to maintain the balance of osmotic pressure in the cell surface and reduce the response of dairy cows to heat stress. Then, the feed intake of dairy cows in summer can be improved and milk yield can not be reduced.
